Design: Designed by Canadian artist Claudio D'Angelo, your coin features a side view of a wolf (Canis lupus) in Canada's boreal forest. Among the tall spruce trees, the wolf has made its way to the crest of a snow-covered hill, where it pauses to survey the frozen lake below. Its head is turned to the left, which allows a glimpse of its facial features. Throughout this winter scene, the combination of engraving and various finishing techniques adds striking depth to the design—especially the crisp impression of the wolf's four-toed tracks, which are also engraved on the coin's edge in a continuous pattern. The reverse includes the engraved word "CANADA", the year "2018" and the face value "20 DOLLARS". The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
