Jumbo The Elephant
Jumbo was a large (approx. 4 metres tall) famous circus elephant that started his working journey in Europe before being shipped to North America. He is most famous for being struck by a train in St. Thomas, Ontario. There is more to the story however, as he actually tripped on the train tracks and impaled himself with his tusk, which killed him instantly and the unexpected train ran over his body shortly after.
