Canada: $1 British Columbia Centennial, 1871-1971.

Design: The first non-circulating silver dollar issued to the public. It commemorates British Columbia entering into Confederation in 1871. The design is based on the provincial coat of arms. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

Composition: 50% Ag, 50% Cu (0.375 oz actual silver weight)

Weight: 23.3 grams.

Packaging: The coin came in two different types of clam shell cases. The first was a black leatherette clam style case, Coat of Arms, maroon & black insert. The second was a Black Leatherette clam case, Coat of Arms, white and black insert. You will recieve one of the above cases depending on which one we have in stock at the time.
