Design: The coin features a winter mountain scene. The viewpoint is from a rocky, snow-covered slope, below mountain peaks that rise in the distance. But on closer examination, a snowy owl emerges from the scene. Its wings are found in the steep mountainsides; its head in the mountain's central peak; its talons are reflected in highlights on the snow; its feathers defined by spruce trees; and its beak and eye are shaped by two crows circling overhead.
