Design: The reverse design by Canadian illustrator Joel Kimmel transports the viewer into a fictional steampunk metropolis built around a winding waterway. Overhead, a blimp drifts through steam-filled skies, while below, a submarine glides toward a dock jutting from the bustling boardwalk, where pedestrians take in the water-level view of the Victorian-inspired buildings accented with industrial elements. Further enhancing the steampunk vibe, gear motifs help frame the composition and form a laser-engraved field pattern on the obverse, which features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
