Design: On all five coins, the reverse design by Canadian artist Nathalie Lagacé features a pair of sugar maple (Acer saccharum) leaves in early fall, their lobes gently overlapping in the centre, and their stems crossing below. The leaves’ late summer/early fall colours are brought to life on the 1 oz. coin through the use of Vivid Toning Effect, an innovative colour technology introduced in 2026. Each obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
